Hyundai-Rotem Co. said on Tuesday that it signed two separate supply and maintenance deals worth a combined 538.2 billion won ($388.7 million) with Korea Railroad Corp. (Korail) and Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). Hyundai Rotem said in a disclosure that it signed a contract of maintenance services for K1A2 tanks with DAPA. The contract is worth 148.5 billion won and runs until December 3, 2027. The Seoul-based locomotive manufacturer signed another contract with Korail to supply high-speed electric multiple unit train EMU-260 to the state-owned railway operator. Under the 389.7 billion won contract, Hyundai-Rotem is responsible for the supply of EMU-260 vehicles to be used in the high-speed railways, including the Chuncheon-Sokcho Line, until October 25, 2028.
